Xi'an Tours

Xi'an, in Shaanxi Province in central China, is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China and famous as the eastern end of the Silk Road as well as for the Terracotta Army (also known as the Terracotta Warriors or Terracotta Soldiers) of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has more than 3,100 years of history and there is no end to the historic sites and relics that can be found in and around Xi'an in addition to the world-famous Terracotta Army. It is a short and relatively inexpensive flight, high-speed bullet train or overnight train ride from Beijing or Shanghai and it is a highly recommended visit if you have an extra day or two while you are in China. These listed tours are only for your reference; we can tailor a Xi'an tour, Beijing - Xi'an or Shanghai - Xi'an tour that fits your needs. All of our listed tours are private tour packages - your tour will be only for you and your chosen traveling companions.

Beijing Xi'an 1-day Tour

#XT1: 1 Day Xi’an Terracotta Army - Big Wild Goose Pagoda Tour

For travelers with a shorter amount of time, we can still get you there to see the world famous Terracotta Warriors with a Beijing - Xi’an or Shanghai - Xi'an one-day trip.

Day 1: Xi'an Hotel Lobby Pickup - Terracotta Warriors - Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Upon arrival in Xi'an in the morning, your tour guide will greet you in the lobby of your hotel and take you to visit the legendary and internationally renowned Terracotta Warriors. After a local lunch, you can visit the ancient Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built in 652 A.D. Great views over the city of Xi'an await those who make it to the top of the tower. If you prefer, you could visit the Xi’an City Wall, one of the world’s best preserved ancient city walls, or the interesting Sha’anxi Provincial History Museum, rather than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. You will have plenty of time to check out the historic sites before your tour guide escorts you to the Xi'an airport to catch your evening flight back to Beijing.

Cost: 2 people: 1480 CNY / US$211 per person; 3 - 5 people: 1100 CNY / US$157 per person; 6 - 9 people: 980 CNY / US$140 per person; 10+ people: 880 CNY / US$126 per person.

#XT2: 1 Day Xi'an Terracotta Army - Hanyang Tombs Tour

Day 1: Xi'an Hotel Lobby Pickup - Terracotta Warriors - Hanyang Tombs
This tour is the same as the #XT1 tour above but it includes a trip to see the other historic tombs near Xi'an - the 2,100-year old Hanyang Tombs, instead of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Sha’anxi Museum or Xi'an City Wall. The Hanyang Tombs were built in 153 B.C. making them nearly as old as the more famous Terracotta Warriors. They were constructed for Liu Qi, Emperor Jingdi of the Han Dynasty (188 - 141 B.C.) and they are also known as Hanyangling or the Hanyang Mausoleum. A specially constructed glass floor allows viewing of the pits below, and the entire museum gives an excellent presentation of the history of the tombs. Open only since 2006, the Hanyang Tombs site is Xi'an’s most underrated and unappreciated historical treasure.

Cost: 2 - 5 people: 945 CNY / US$158 per person; 6 - 9 people: 845 CNY / US$141 per person; 10+ people: 728 CNY / US$122 per person. (This is just a rough cost estimate - please contact us for an up to date price quotation).
Includes pickup and return at your Xi'an hotel, private car or van transportation, sightseeing entrance tickets, your English-speaking tour guide and lunch. Does not include the flight or Xi'an airport transfers, although we can arrange that for you, and/or your Beijing or Shanghai airport transfers. Please contact us for current airfares and airport transfer costs.
